Here are a few recipes that you can opt for this festive season
- Quinoa Kheer
Sweeten up your Diwali with a wholesome bowl of Quinoa Kheer! Prepare a delicious delight for your celebration. Bring home nature’s purity with Organic India’s quinoa, Ghee, Stevia, and saffron threads.
Steps to make:
Ingredients:
1 cup soaked quinoa
1 tbsp ghee
2.5 cups milk, divided (½ Cup + 2 Cups)
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Stevia to taste
10-12 saffron threads
Instructions:
- Soak quinoa in a bowl. Drain excess after after soaking.
- In a pan, roast soaked quinoa with ghee for 1-2 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup water; simmer until quinoa is cooked and liquid absorbed.
- Soak saffron in a small bowl with warm milk.
- Add 2 cups of milk in the cooked quinoa. Add cardamom powder.
- Sweeten with Stevia.
- Simmer the kheer for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in saffron milk; serve warm or chilled.
Moong Dal Laddu
Along with boondi ke laddu this Diwali give these a try delicious Moong Daal Laddu’s made with pure, organic ingredients from Organic India. All you need is Organic India Moong Daal, Ghee, and Jaggery powder to prepare this delicious sweet.
Steps to make:
Ingredients:
1 cup moong dal
3-4 tbsp ghee, plus extra for shaping
1 cup jaggery powder
Roasted almonds, chopped
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Pistachios, for garnish
Instructions:
- Dry roast moong dal on low flame for 8-10 minutes until fragrant and golden.
- Cool the dal and then blend to a fine powder.
- In a pan, heat dal flour with ghee on low flame, cook until the mixture begins to leave the sides of the pan.
- Turn off the heat, let it cool slightly.
- Add jaggery powder, roasted chopped almonds, and cardamom powder to the dal mixture; combine well.
- Apply ghee to your hands, take small portions of the mixture, and shape into laddus
- Garnish with pistachios.
- Serve the laddus once they are set
- Meethe Chawal
Blend nature’s purity in your Meethe Chawal with Organic India Jaggery and Red Rice. Super easy to make, this Diwali, bring home purity and relish the deliciousness of Meethe Chawal.
Steps to make:
Ingredients:
1 cup red rice
Water (for cooking rice)
Coconut oil
Fresh coconut slices
Chopped almonds and cashews
1 cup jaggery powder
3/4 cup water
Cardamom powder
Nutmeg powder
Cinnamon powder
Instructions:
Soak the red rice.
- Cook the soaked rice in a pressure cooker with water for 5 whistles or until done.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan, and roast coconut slices, almonds, and cashews until golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, dissolve jaggery powder in 3/4 cup water; cook until it forms a syrup but is not too thick.
- Mix the cooked rice into the jaggery syrup, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Sprinkle in cardamom, nutmeg, and cinnamon powder; mix well.
- Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes to melt the flavours.
- Serve garnished with the roasted nuts. Enjoy warm!
