Rain washes out day seven of CPL

Chandigarh, Persistent rain once again disrupted proceedings on the seventh day of the Chandigarh Premier League being organised by the UT Cricket Association as both scheduled matches at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium were abandoned on Wednesday.

It proved to be a demanding day for the ground staff who worked tirelessly to protect the pitch and dry the outfield with the super sopper in constant use to soak up the moisture. Despite their efforts, play was not possible.
