Ranji Trophy : Chandigarh controlled the game as Vohra and Azad scored tons 

Chandigarh,  Centuries from skipper Manan Vohra and Arjun Azad put Chandigarh firmly in the driver’s seat on Day 2 of their Ranji Trophy Elite clash against Kerala at the KCA Cricket Ground, Trivandrum on Thursday. UT boys piled up a massive 416 runs in their first innings to secure a handsome 256-run lead.

After Kerala’s 139, Opener Arjun Azad was the first to stamp his authority by scoring 102 off 123 balls which was studded with 15 boundaries and a six. The another highlight of the day was Manan Vohra’s  113 off 206 deliveries with 11 fours and a six. The duo shared a vital 161-run partnership. Later, Vohra got decent support from Shivam Bhambri (41) and Arjit Singh (52).

For Kerala, Edhen Apple Tom (4/61) emerged as the standout bowler.

In reply, Kerala began their second innings miserably and ended the day with 21 for 2. The hosts are still trailing by 256 runs.

Karnataka dominate day 1 against Chandigarh in CK Nayudu Trophy Clash

Chandigarh,: Karnataka put up a commanding performance on day 1 of their Col C K Nayudu Trophy Elite Under-23 match against Chandigarh at the Alur Cricket Stadium, Bengaluru. After winning the toss, Chandigarh elected to field as Karnataka were strongly placed at 369/2 at stumps. Karthikeya K P starred with an unbeaten 155 off 181 balls while Dhruv Prabhakar remained not out on 70.
