Yara India, the world’s leading fertilizer company and provider of environmental solutions, today shared the results of testing conducted by the Quality Control Laboratory (Fertilisers), Department of Agriculture, Haryana and Punjab for its Procote Zinc – zinc oxide based suspension product (39.5% Zn).
The laboratory findings confirm that the tested product meets the applicable quality parameters under the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO).
The findings provide evidence supporting the quality of the product tested and reinforce Yara’s commitment to maintaining rigorous quality standards and transparency with farmers, dealers and other stakeholders.
Procote Zn is a Zinc Oxide suspension formulation and is tested using the specific analytical method prescribed under the FCO for Zinc Oxide formulations.
Under the prescribed testing process, the sample is subjected to acid digestion under reflux conditions using Aqua Regia to ensure that the zinc is fully extracted for measurement. The Haryana and Punjab state laboratory’s findings, based on the prescribed methodology, confirm that Procote Zn meets the applicable quality parameters under the FCO.
