Boon for the underprivileged- Yaad-e-Murshid Eye Camp by Dera Sacha Sauda, from 12th-15th December.
SIRSA: Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa, in collaboration with Shah Satnam Ji Research and Development Foundation, is conducting a large scale Free “Yaad-e-Murshid Mega Eye check-up camp from 12th-15th December, in memory of its Second Master, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj. The registrations for this camp had started on 9th December; by 14th evening, approximately 6400 patients had been screened. The patients had been examined and shortlisted for eye surgeries by a team of 17 professional ophthalmologists and surgeons that have come from top hospitals from Bhatinda, Meerut and various cities of Haryana. More than 90 eye surgeries have been conducted and still counting, and course of treatment and medicines have been provided to more than 6400 screened patients for eye ailments like cataract, glaucoma, retina related problems etc. Surgeries are being conducted in the modern state of the art medical facilities of Shah Satnam Ji Speciality Hospitals, Sirsa.
The camp will conclude today evening while the surgeries on the shortlisted patients will be carried on for next couple of days.
The consultation, surgeries, post operative care, treatment, medicines, food and accommodation are free of cost for the screened patients. Thousands of volunteers have come in from states of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and UP, to contribute in this camp and are helping in taking care of patients, registrations and administrative tasks. This is the 27th annual mega eye camp conducted, to commemorate the second spiritual master of Dera Sacha Sauda, Shah Satnam ji Maharaj and is a boon for the economically underprivileged people.

This annual ‘Yaad-e-Murshid’ eye camp is amongst the 133 prominent welfare activities, that have been initiated by Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan. Since 1992, More than 29,000 visions have been restored, through surgeries conducted, as a part of this Mega Eye camp and lakhs of others have been treated for eye ailments. The camp also made a Guinness World Record for the largest eye screening of 11715 people in 2013.
Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar summoned by US SEC over 2,200 cr-bribery case
Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. The duo has been asked to respond within 21 days, as per the notice sent via a US court. The summons were sent to their residences in Ahmedabad.

A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
