Chandigarh, Captain Arjun Azad’s explosive 78 off just 29 balls and an unbeaten 62 from Surya Narayan Yadav guided Capital Strikers to a remarkable five-wicket victory over Rock Garden Warriors in a high-scoring OMAXE Chandigarh Premier League 2026 match at Tau Devi Lal Stadium,Pan chkula on Wednesday. Chasing a daunting target of 213, the Strikers reached the target at the loss of five wickets in 18.5 overs to pull off one of the most exciting run chases of the tournament.
After winning the toss and inviting Warriors to bat first, the team posted an imposing 212/5 in their 20 overs. Nikhil Kumar starred with a blistering 76 off 34 deliveries, smashing eight fours and five sixes. Captain Dipender Kush anchored the innings with an unbeaten 54 off 36 balls, while Raman Bishnoi provided the late flourish with a quickfire 24 not out from just six deliveries.
In reply, opener Arjun Azad dominated the Warriors’ bowling attack while Nehal Pajni contributed 32 runs at the top before Surya Narayan Yadav took charge of the chase with a composed and aggressive unbeaten half-century. Unbeaten Jaskirat Singh Mehra added the finishing touches with a valuable 24.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, Chandigarh Kings produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Royal Titans by six wickets. Batting first, Royal Titans posted 146/5 in 20 overs. Arjit Singh Pannu starred with an unbeaten 64 off 32 balls while Markanday Panchal contributed 43. For Chandigarh Kings, Harshit Singh and Ivraj Ranauta claimed two wickets each. In reply, Chandigarh Kings chased down the target comfortably by reaching 150/4 in just 18 overs. Akshit Rana anchored the innings with an unbeaten 55 off 37 balls while Arnav Bansal scored blistering 43 off 17 deliveries. Bhagmender Lather remained unbeaten on 32 to guide the team home.
