
Chandigarh, HIIMS Hawks continued their unbeaten run in the Omaxe Chandigarh Premier League 2026 with a sensational last-over victory over Capital Strikers after recovering from a disastrous start in a thrilling contest at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula on Tuesday.
Chasing a target of 135, HIIMS Hawks were rocked early by the Capital Strikers bowling attack and slipped to 47 for 5. At that crucial juncture, Pratham Singh (52) rose to the occasion with a courageous knock that revived the innings and brought stability to the chase. As the match entered its decisive phase, unbeaten Chiragveer Singh Dhindsa produced a game-changing cameo that swung the momentum in HIIMS Hawks’ as he made 49 runs off 32 balls. The Hawks chased down the target with five balls to spare.
Earlier, Capital Strikers was restricted to 134/8 with Gurtaj Singh (34) as the top scorer. while Ranvijay Singh sccored 27. Vardaan Verma (2/20) and Vivek Vashisht (2/40) shared two wickets each.
Earlier on Monday’s night, Rock Garden Warriors produced a dominant all-round performance to register a convincing nine-wicket victory over Royal Titans. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Royal Titans struggled against disciplined bowling and were bowled out for 122 in 20 overs. Abhimanyu top-scored with 44 runs. Rock Garden Warriors’ bowling attack was led by Abhishek Singh (3/20) and Yuvraj Singh (3/18).
In reply, Rock Garden Warriors chased down the target comfortably in just 14 overs, finishing at 125 for 1. Jashan Beniwal played a match-winning knock of 65 runs off 41 balls studded with eight boundaries and three sixes. Aarush Bhandari remained unbeaten on 30, while unbeaten Abhishek Singh contributed a quickfire 27.
