
The 16th Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) Update and 7th Live & Cadaveric Workshop (LIVCAD) 2025, themed “Advancing UBE and Kambin Fusion Frontiers,” concluded successfully at Trinity Hospital, Zirakpur, and GMCH-32, Chandigarh.
Organized under the aegis of the World Endoscopic Spine Society (WESS) in collaboration with Trinity Education & Research Foundation and GMCH-32, the two-day event brought together over 25 delegates and more than 20 eminent national and international faculty members. The workshop offered an advanced learning platform in MISS, emphasizing Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy (UBE) and Kambin Fusion techniques.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Gurvinder Pal Thami, Director Principal, GMCH-32, with distinguished guests including Prof. Vijay G. Goni (PGIMER), Prof. Mahesh K. Sharma (GMCH-32), and Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sarwal (Fortis Mohali). Prof. Thami commended Trinity Hospital for its leadership in surgical education and global collaboration in spine care.
Renowned experts such as Dr. Rully Hanafi Dahlan (Indonesia), Dr. Monu Singh (Fortis Delhi), Dr. Deepak Joshi (Fortis Mohali), and Dr. Atmaranjan Dash (CARE Hospital Bhubaneswar) enriched the scientific sessions. Dr. Dahlan lauded India’s growing stature in MISS education, while Dr. Singh emphasized the workshop’s role in fostering precision and innovation.
Dr. Mohinder Kaushal, Organizing Chairman and President, WESS, demonstrated the Arthrospine DUO UBE System enabling keyhole, day-care spine surgeries. Dr. Rohit Jindal and Dr. Mukul Kaushal highlighted the workshop’s focus on skill refinement and accessibility in spine surgery.
Featuring live 4K and 3D surgical demonstrations, delegates hailed the event as one of Asia’s most advanced MISS programs. The workshop concluded with a felicitation ceremony recognizing outstanding faculty and participants.
