
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that seeing India move rapidly on the path of development in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the entire world is looking at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work with renewed hope and optimism. Major achievements in the field of science and continuous innovations have impressed countries across the world. Today, the passion to do something new is clearly visible among the youth of the country.
The Chief Minister was listening to the 129th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme on Sunday at the Dharamshala located in Pipli Grain Market. Before reaching the venue of the Mann Ki Baat programme, the Chief Minister listened to the problems of the people present there and assured them of solutions by forwarding their issues to the concerned officers.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the National Youth Day programme is being organised on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. On the same day, the Young Leader Dialogue programme will also be organised. In this programme, the youth of the country will share ideas on subjects such as innovation, fitness, startups and agriculture, which will help in making the country developed. Participation of youth in this programme is continuously increasing.
He said that through the Mann Ki Baat programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shares information about people working for social welfare and national interest in different corners of the country, which inspires other citizens to move forward and make efforts to contribute. Such programmes instill a spirit of work among the youth. Hundreds of young people have started their initiatives inspired by the Mann Ki Baat programmes held so far.
The Chief Minister said that in the Mann Ki Baat programme, the Prime Minister apprised the citizens of the achievements made during the year. He also praised the commendable work done by the Archaeology Department after the discovery of the figure of a Buddhist stupa in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is ensuring uniform development of every corner of the state so that all facilities are easily available to citizens.
On this occasion, former Haryana Minister Subhash Sudha, Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee President Jagdish Singh Jhinda, Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, BJP District President Tajinder Singh, along with other dignitaries, were present.

Savings of approximately Rs 150 crore achieved through negotiations
Boost to infrastructure development in Haryana; Committee approves major projects
A meeting of the High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) was held on Saturday at Haryana Niwas under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. During the meeting, proposals related to important infrastructure and development projects of various departments were deliberated upon, and key decisions regarding procurement of services and works were taken.
A total of 58 tenders with an estimated cost of approximately Rs 4216 crore were considered in the meeting. Out of these, it was decided to order re-tendering for 2 projects. For the remaining 56 tenders, with an estimated cost of about Rs 4166 crore, detailed negotiations were held with the bidders, after which the total agreed value of works was finalized at approximately Rs 4016 crore. Thus, through the negotiation process, an estimated saving of about Rs 150 crore was ensured, strengthening the State Government’s financial management, transparency and efficient utilization of resources.
Energy Minister Anil Vij, Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel, Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa, and Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Smt. Shruti Choudhry were present in the meeting.
To strengthen the power distribution sector, proposals submitted under the Revamped Reforms-based and Results-linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) were approved. Under this, approval was granted for awarding works to firms/agencies that have completed the tender process for distribution infrastructure development, reduction of line losses, establishment of new 33 kV substations, and expansion and strengthening of existing substations in various areas of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.
Under Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, works related to distribution infrastructure development and substation strengthening were approved for the Dabwali, Narwana, Sohna, Sirsa, Gurugram-II, Fatehabad, Hisar, Narnaul and Rewari areas.
Similarly, under Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, works related to strengthening of the distribution system and expansion of substations were approved in various areas of the Panchkula, Pinjore, Barwala, Raipur Rani, Panipat, Karnal, Samalkha and Rohtak zones.
The proposal related to implementation of SCADA and DMS/OMS systems in Gurugram was also approved in the meeting.
Regarding the agenda item, it was decided to re-tender the tender for works related to strengthening and modernization of 11 kV urban and industrial feeders connected to 66 kV substations in Faridabad and Gurugram under the RDSS scheme.
In addition, several other important projects related to urban development and basic infrastructure were approved in the meeting. These include the four-laning and improvement of the remaining stretches of master roads between Sectors 5/6, 6/9 and 5/10 under the Sonipat Metropolitan Development Authority; construction of a new high-level bridge near the existing bridge close to Panchkula Golf Club on the road connecting Sector-3 and Sector-21 with Sector-23 and Sector-25 over the Ghaggar river in Panchkula (on EPC mode); projects related to beautification and rejuvenation of two water channels passing through the city under the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority and commercial and recreational utilization of the surrounding areas; construction of modern hostel buildings for working women in Sector-78, Faridabad and Sector-9, Gurugram, including civil, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, fire alarm, CCTV, HVAC, lift, horticulture and other allied works along with maintenance for a specified period.
Besides this, the proposal related to completion of the remaining works of the convention centre building at the Board of School Education complex in Bhiwani was also approved.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed the officers to ensure that all approved works are completed with full quality, transparency and within the stipulated timelines. He emphasized that special attention should be given to achieving maximum quality at minimum cost in all projects, and that sustainable, long-lasting and low-maintenance construction materials should be used.
