Aarush's ton powers Rock Garden Warriors to thrilling three-run win over HIIMS Hawks Chandigarh, A magnificent unbeaten century by Aarush Bhandari and a spirited bowling effort helped Rock Garden Warriors to register a thrilling three-run victory over HIIMS Hawks in an exciting OMAXE Chandigarh Premier League encounter played at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula on Thursday. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Rock Garden Warriors posted a competitive total of 179 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings was anchored by wicketkeeper-batsman Aarush Bhandari who remained unbeaten on 100 runs off 61 deliveries.He received valuable support from Harjit Singh (27 off 19 balls)/ Towards the end of the innings, Raman Bishnoi played a useful cameo, remaining unbeaten on 20 runs from just 10 deliveries. In reply, HIIMS Hawks fought hard and stayed in contention throughout the chase. Vishal Dhankar led the charge with a brilliant 64 off 39 balls, smashing four fours and five sixes. Nikhil Thakur provided explosive support with 42 runs off only 20 deliveries, while Nipunn Sharda added 33 runs and Pratham Singh contributed a quickfire 25. Despite the strong batting display, Hawks finished at 176 for 8 in 20 overs . Anant Malik (3/33) delivered a match-winning spell while Raman Bishnoi chipped in with two important wickets. Earlier on Wednesday's night, Tricity Bashers produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Chandigarh Kings by 45 runs. Batting first, the Bashers piled up a massive 245/4 in 20 overs, powered by explosive knocks from Ankit Kaushik (85 off 38), Devang Kaushik (64 off 35) and Sanyam Saini (45 off 24). In reply, Chandigarh Kings were bowled out for 200 in 19.4 overs despite Shivam Bhambri’s brilliant 86. Taranpreet Singh (3/29) claimed three wickets.
