Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that all schemes made for farmers should be simplified, ensuring that farmers do not face any difficulties. He emphasized that any issues arising in the digitalization process should be resolved promptly.

Nayab Singh Saini was chairing a review meeting regarding e-Kshatipurti at the Civil Secretariat on Friday. Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner (Revenue & Disaster Management) Dr. Sumita Misra, Deputy Principal Secretary to CM Dr. Yashpal, Commissioner & Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Sh. J. Ganesan, and Director General, Agriculture Department Sh. Raj Narayan Kaushik were also present during the meeting.

During the meeting, the state government also approved the release of ₹370.52 crore under the Kharif 2025 crop compensation scheme. With this approval by Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the amount will be directly transferred into the bank accounts of more than 1.5 lakh farmers across the state.

The approved amount pertains to claims that were earlier kept pending due to technical scrutiny, including cases involving duplicate or similar photographic evidence. The compensation is being disbursed through the e-Kshatipurti portal, a transparent and farmer-friendly digital platform integrated with the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ system. The platform ensures end-to-end digitalization—from registration and verification to Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)—thereby maintaining accuracy, accountability, and speed.

Officials informed that in the first phase, the government had released ₹116.15 crore to 53,821 farmers on December 10, 2025. With the new approval of ₹370.52 crore, the remaining more than 1.5 lakh farmers will now receive the compensation.

They further stated that after applications were submitted on the portal, the system successfully filtered out more than 5,500 suspicious entries, including ineligible and fraudulent claims, thereby safeguarding public funds and ensuring that genuine beneficiaries receive their rightful compensation.

Nayab Singh Saini directed departments to ensure that the compensation amount is credited to farmers’ bank accounts at the earliest. He reiterated the government’s commitment to stand firmly with farmers during natural disasters.

*Geo-referencing completed up to murabba level*

During the meeting, officials highlighted that with the use of advanced digital technologies such as AgriStack and geo-referenced verification, Haryana is setting new benchmarks in disaster relief management in the agriculture sector.

They informed that geo-referencing has been implemented up to the murabba level in Haryana. Under this, the exact location of each field/murabba has been recorded, creating a clear and authenticated land record. Through this system, transparent data on crop type, area, and actual ground status is available. This initiative will significantly help in crop monitoring, damage assessment, and effective implementation of government schemes.

Officials added that geo-referencing will make it easier to identify genuine beneficiaries, reduce incorrect claims, and accelerate administrative processes.

In the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Shyam Lal Bansal filed his nomination as the BJP candidate for the post of Mayor. He submitted his nomination papers to the Returning Officer-cum-SDM Kalka, Sanyam Garg, at the SDM office located within the Mini Secretariat in Panchkula.

While interacting with the media persons on this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that Shyam Lal Bansal is a senior, experienced, and dedicated worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He extended his congratulations and best wishes to Shyam Lal Bansal and his team, who have filed nominations for the 20 wards.

The Chief Minister remarked that the Bharatiya Janata Party is fundamentally a party of its workers, wherein every worker strives to strengthen the organization rather than merely seeking to contest elections; in turn, the party accords full respect and honor to its workers. He added that both he himself and Sh Shyam Lal Bansal serve as prime examples of this ethos.

He further said that elections will be held in Haryana for the posts of Mayor and Councilors in the Municipal Corporations of Panchkula, Ambala, and Sonipat, as well as for the posts of Chairman and Ward Members in the Municipal Council of Rewari and the Municipalities of Sampla, Dharuhera, and Uklana. He appealed to the public to participate unitedly in these elections and to accelerate the pace of the state’s development by ensuring the victory of the ‘Lotus’ symbol.

He also highlighted that out of the 217 resolutions taken during the Assembly elections, 63 have already been fulfilled. Gas cylinders are being made available to women from underprivileged families for just ₹500, while under the Lado Lakshmi Scheme, eligible women are receiving monthly assistance of ₹2,100. Under the Ayushman/Chirayu Scheme, 27 lakh families are being provided medical assistance, and farmers’ crops are being procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

The Chief Minister stated that the government is continuously working to empower the youth. Government jobs are being provided purely on merit, without any influence or recommendation. A Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is currently underway for about 5,700 police personnel. In addition, interviews are being conducted for 9,500 posts, while the recruitment process for another 13,500 posts is also in progress.

He further said that the government is executing development projects across the state at three times the pace. In Panchkula alone, numerous development works have been carried out over the past 11 years, the direct benefits of which are being received by the local residents.

Responding to a question regarding the West Bengal elections, the Chief Minister said that the enthusiasm and high voter turnout clearly indicate that, under the leadership of Sh Narendra Modi, the “Lotus” (BJP) will bloom in Bengal, and the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the government with a decisive majority.

He asserted that Bengal will also join the ranks of developed states and will no longer lag behind in terms of development. He further said that such a large voter turnout reflects the public’s dissatisfaction with the incumbent government.

The Chief Minister stated that the people of Bengal have resolved to establish a fear-free, progressive, and corruption-free government under the leadership of Sh Narendra Modi.

Responding to a query regarding a Congress candidate’s decision not to contest the municipal corporation elections, Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the Congress has become a party devoid of issues and has nothing substantive to offer the public.

He said that the Congress misled people through propaganda by creating the impression that if the Bharatiya Janata Party returns to power at the Centre, the Constitution framed by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar would be in danger. The Chief Minister said that the ground has slipped from beneath the Congress’s feet and its candidates are well aware of the prevailing public sentiment in the state. He further said that during its tenure, the Congress promoted corruption and scams and practiced the politics of deceit, due to which public trust in the party has eroded.

Speaking on the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, he said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has taken significant steps toward women’s empowerment, whereas the Congress has insulted women by opposing this legislation. He emphasized that equal participation of women is essential for the holistic development of the nation; however, the Congress does not support the empowerment of women.

Present on the occasion were Kalka MLA Smt. Shakti Rani Sharma, former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Sh Gian Chand Gupta, former Minister Sh Kanwar Pal Gujjar, District President Sh Ajay Mittal, former Mayor Sh Kulbhushan Goyal, the Chief Minister’s Media Secretary Sh Praveen Atrey, along with several other BJP office-bearers and a large number of party workers.
